Seana & Erik {Married} ::Lodge at Whitefish Lake::

Monday, October 24th, 2011

There’s always a rush of adrenaline that I get on a wedding day. No matter what I’m expecting the day to be like, I’m never let down. Especially at this particular wedding. The lovely and talented Tanya, of Tanya Gersh Events contacted me and asked if I’d like to photograph a small, private and intimate wedding on Whitefish Lake at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Uh, YES PLEASE! I love all weddings, but I LOVED this one. So small and special, and so much more than a wedding. It was a marriage of two beautiful souls, and the joining together of their family. Erik and Seana wanted it to be intimate and quiet, just their family and close friends, and not feel so wedding like. Tanya did an INCREDIBLE job creating the perfect atmosphere, with the vocal point being the bar and wonderful service, the amazing lighting design, and breathtaking centerpieces. My little detailed loving heart was over whelmed! :)
Erik and Seana, thank you for letting me witness your marriage and letting me photograph your very special and gorgeous day!!

Leslie & Shane {Married} :: Settlemier Mansion, Oregon ::

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

I’m not even sure how to start this post. When I think of Leslie and Shane I get warm fuzzies deep down. Jeremiah and I drove to Portland last week to photograph this wedding that he had booked via Craigslist. Just the thought of that creeps me out. We could’ve been driving to meet weirdos and photograph the weirdest “portland” wedding of the century. Turns out I met my Wedding Soul-Mate in Leslie. We instantly bonded the day before at their family shoot when Leslie quoted Hook. Yeah, she’s my kinda girl. And the wedding?! AHH! I told her she could just bundle the whole thing up and give it to me and I’d be happy. We showed up that day and heard Pride and Prejudice music playing in the back ground, instant SWOON. We even had a “Jane Austen” moment with all the bridesmaids in their pretty light gray dresses on the balcony of the Settlemier House in Woodburn, Oregon. LOVED that place. A LOT.

FIRST LOOK!!!!! It took everything in me not to cry on the stairs!

LOVED this moment! Leslie’s brother married them and had them look at each other and said “Remember this moment”

Be sure to watch the Slideshow made by Jeremiah Daniel Photography!!!!! I kinda love him. :)

Brittany & Craig {Married}

Meet the lovely Brittany and Craig. I LOVE THEM. I’ve known Brittany since 4th grade and we were instand bff’s! I’m so excited for the man God brought into her life and the new adventure of marriage that now awaits them! It was such an honor to document their day and see them come together as one. Brittany’s grandpa, Pastor Ross married them and it very much added to the day! Love you Brittany and Craig!!!!
First Look!!! I love a good first look, so special!

Britney + Justin {married}

Thursday, August 18th, 2011

Meet Britney and Justin. These two are awesome, seriously. I’ve known Britney for awhile now, we were Base Buddies for cheerleading back in the good ol’ days, and it’s been such a pleasure to get to know Justin through the wedding planning. Britney’s little sister is also my brother’s fiance…so in a way we’re gonna be related!!! YESSSS! They are SO MUCH FUN to photograph together. They have so much chemistry and love for each other and it just oozes out of them. That doesn’t sound pretty, but it makes my job a million times easier. They’re just too cute and I was swooning behind my camera all day. It couldn’t have been any better. It also helps that this was the first time my boyfriend was there to 2nd shoot with me…but more on that later ;) Here’s the story from Britney on how these two Love Birds met. Awwwwww, amore.

“We became friends through the college prep program Upward Bound, freshman year of high school. Justin was a very social person in the program and I was a little shy. I had a crush on him all throughout the four years of high school. Justin went to Bozeman and I went to Missoula for our first semesters of college. We both decided to come back to FVCC for our second semesters. He text me for the first time December 31st, 2009 and 11:50 p.m. and asked what I was doing tomorrow. For our first date we went sledding with a couple of his friends. For the month of January we dated and February first we became official. We were inseparable. Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 Justin proposed. We were relaxing in bed, enjoying each others’ company and watching star wars. He turned to me and said, “Britney lets go get married this Friday”. I couldn’t believe it! We had talked about getting married but I never thought he would propose for another year or so. I don’t know how we came to the conclusion, but we decided to have a wedding with all our family instead of that Friday.”

Flathead Lake Lodge Wedding :: Amber + Jonny {married}

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

Amber and Jonny are the most drop dead gorgeous couple I’ve ever seen. I met them not that long before their big day and I was so happy when she contacted me. Amber is someone I’ve known for a long time but had never met, so to finally meet her I was ecstatic! She was explaining their wedding details to me and I was swooning in the coffee shop. This is a couple after my own heart and I can’t wait for our “day after” session!! These two are SO FLIPPIN photogenic and natural in front of the camera. Seriously, I didn’t have to the tell them to do anything, they were just perfect to begin with.
This whole wedding was beautifully put together by some amazingly talented people and with a lot of love and thought. Vintage polaroid cameras, typewriters, wedding photos, old shoes, mason jars with wildflowers…SIGN. ME. UP. It was such an honor to photograph this insanely cute wedding. THANK YOU JONNY AND AMBER!

Emily & Jesh {Married}

Tuesday, August 9th, 2011

I can’t help but get warm tingly feelings when I think of this couple. I’m a believer in God’s perfect timing. You can’t have faith with out faith in His timing, and walking out your God-given destiny. Such the case for these two. What was supposed to be “just a blind date” turned into their destiny. Sparks flew, emotions ran high (name that movie!), and the both of them knew something incredible was happening. Emily’s co-worker gushed about how wonderful this guy should she meet was and invited her to dinner to meet him. Jeshua hearing the same thing on the other side was hesitant at first, but thought ‘what’s there to loose? If we don’t click at least I get to hang out with my friends tonight!”. Well the second he arrived at the restaurant and saw Emily and her contagious smile, things clicked. Leaving the restaurant that night with her number in hand began their Love Story, and I’m honored to document it!!
Meet Emily and Jeshua, the sweetest couple alive. I had the pleasure of meeting these two in January through our mutual friend Mackenzie (shout out!! lol) I’m pretty sure we were instant friends, it’s hard not to love the both of them. About a month after I met them, Jesh proposed and the wedding planning ensued. It’s been SO WONDERFUL to get to know these two even more, and even more wonderful to be able to call them my friends now. Their day was PERFECT, and I mean that whole heartedly. The weather was gorgeous, the church was gorgeous (besides the ripped up side-walk- thanks Kalipsell!), Emily was beaming all day and still being the sweet caring Emily we know and love! I could have photographed just the two of them all day, and I practically did. Thank you Emily & Jesh for letting me steal you away for more photographs- you’re so worth it!

Kristen & Justin {Married}

Saturday, July 30th, 2011

These STUNNING people, Kristen and Justin, I love them. I think I say that about every couple, but I’m serious. I’ve known Kristen since we were 8 years old, grew up in the same neighborhood, she was the first person I met on bus 8 riding to 3rd grade. Here we are 15 years later, and she’s getting married to the love of her life, the wonderful Justin. I met these two for coffee, last Fall, instantly clicked with both of them. To this day, their engagement session was probably my favorite. Not only are they such a GORGEOUS couple, but so in love and fun with each other. I couldn’t ask for better people to photograph. I’d been looking forward to their wedding for a long time now, and it didn’t disappoint.
I love that their wedding was personal, DIY, full of love, thought, and came together perfectly. Kristen’s aunts made just about everything for the day…so insanely talented! Even Kristen’s wedding dress was made FOR HER. I loved it. These two put just as much thought into their photos as I did {hence the LOVE} and brought along the best props…and socks. While I was hanging out with Justin at their house I noticed his super cute vintage bike….oh yeah!!! THANK YOU Justin for lugging along the bike, It made me very happy. The day was amazing, the venue, Heaven’s Peak was amazing, the VIEW was amazing. Ugh, ok, I could go on and on.
Now on to the pictures. Oh and one more thing….I cried a lot at this wedding. Kristen’s big brother was her Maid of Honor, she shared her Father/Daughter dance with her adorable Grandpa…there were hugs, tears, kisses, and a lot of love all around. Just the way a wedding should be.

Jessie & Thomas {Married}

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

Jessie and Thomas had the prettiest wedding I’ve ever seen, at Bar W Ranch in Whitefish.   The couple, the families, the venue, the flowers, the bridal party, loved them all. Seriously, I’ve never felt more at home with a group of people.  This gorgeous couple is from San Francisco, so for a CA native like me, I instantly loved them!  The weather is perfect, sunny during the day, and then a storm rolled in right after the ceremony, which created perfect light and cool clouds…photographer heaven! lol, actually just photographing this gorgeous couple all day, I was pretty darn happy!!  I’ll probably post WAY too many pictures here, but I don’t think anyone cares. The details of this wedding were so thought out and amazing, down to the vintage milk bottles and bluegrass band!!

Jessie and Thomas, I can’t thank you ENOUGH for letting me join you on the most important day of your life.  You two are beautiful, caring and so sweet. I’m kinda sad you live so far away….I wanna come hang out at the lake with you! hehe..now on to the pictures!

My wonderful 2nd shooter for the day, Jackie got this awesome shot below :)

Jessie and Thomas decided to do a First Look!! I LOVE when my couples do First Looks, they are so special and intimate! It gave us plenty of time for a ton of pictures and the day never once felt rushed or crazy. LOVE

Quick note about the bridal party…I loved them. SO HILARIOUS.

Zach & Catie {married}

Monday, July 18th, 2011

It was a perfect day.   Sunny and warm, but not hot.  Little breeze, clouds in the deep blue sky, and a lot of love.  Catie and Zach are such a sweet couple and their day was perfect.
Catie came to me about two weeks before her wedding, about to freak out cause she lost her wedding photographer.  No fret dear, I’m here for you!! I’m so glad I was able to help out and witness as these two pledged their lives to each other and join their families together.  Catie is just about the sweetest person I know.  Even when the day wasn’t going as planned she was cool as a cucumber (are they really cool?!) and just ready to marry the love of her life, Zach.

The wedding was in St. Ignatius , in the Missions…so incredibly gorgeous!!

Catie’s mother passed away a couple years ago, and they made this memorial for her. So touching.Catie’s wedding ring was her great grandmother’s. LOVE THAT!!!

Ron & Jill {married}

Thursday, July 14th, 2011

I can’t find the words right now. I can never find the words actually, reason number one I’m a photographer.  A picture speaks a thousand words.  I could barely get through these pictures without crying every time.  This is my wonderful Uncle Ron and he means the world to me.  Through all the pain and sorrow brought to both my family and Jill’s,  God has shown his mercy, grace and unfailing, perfect love.  If you know these two personally you know what I’m talking about. They had a secret ceremony in my grandparent’s backyard on the 4th of July, and I’m honored that I was there to witness it, photograph it, and share it with you.  It was an emotional day, full of tears, hugs, kisses, laughing, crying, joy and excitement.  I’m so happy to have Jill as part of our family now and her darling little girls.

My mom made that sweet bouquet :)

I’m crying again!

My mom made the cake also :)
