Bad Rock Volunteer Fire Department

Saturday, January 7th, 2012

This is my dad’s volunteer fire department. They just finished the building of their beautiful new hall and Jeremiah and I decided they needed a group picture to go along with it! :) Since it’s Winter and crazy cold and the sun goes down at noon (well not really, but 4ish and that’s noon to me), out came the external lights! Jeremiah loves this stuff, I need to learn more about it!! It was so bitterly cold and extremely windy and the siren lights were setting off our wireless triggers on the strobe. We were a sight. Standing out in front of Engine 18, pitch black except the flashing lights and our strobe going bizerk.  The wind was so strong I wasn’t strong enough to hold the 60″ umbrella and at one point the light stand fell over. Whatever, we got the shots! YAY!

That’s my dad!

Elyse {Senior} :: Columbia Falls High School ::

Thursday, October 13th, 2011

This beautiful girl is Elyse. When we were talking before our shoot on the phone we were trying to figure out a place to shoot. I was itching for somewhere new because it always jump starts my creativity! I asked where she lived and she said kinda by highway 206….”yeah, same here!” Turns out we’re neighbors! She lives on the road right behind me! So why not take advantage of that and shoot on our road! I kinda love walking out my front door and being “at work”. Actually our shoot took two days cause it’s started to storm the first time and we were both freezing our butts off and it was dark and gloomy. Anyways, here they are! Elyse, thank you for being gorgeous! :D

Meet Julia. This lovely lady is a Senior this year at Columbia Falls High School…..YAAAAAY! She’s also on the soccer team and quite GORGEOUS! We had such a wonderful time together as we played “Super Model” and this girl definitely brought it! Julia you’re quite “fierce!” I loved her outfits and fun personality and that it showed through in her pictures. :)
One of my favorites from the night!

I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is Emily My Love, my cousin. She lives in California and it makes me sad that we can’t snuggle at all hours of the day!! My California family finally got to visit crazy folks out here in Montana and while she was here I was able to take her Senior Portraits. I can’t believe we’re already at that point…I JUST took her sweet sixteen pictures!!! Emily just turned 18 yesterday and also something else really exciting happened in her life…but I’m not sure she wants me talking about it on my blog, hehe!

Oh Emily, you’re beautiful, FUN, the sweetest person alive, and the most dedicated person I know. You’re so wonderful and everyone loves you. I so badly wish I could be in California for this exciting time in your life and I had a blast with you for the short time you got to spend out here!! LOVE YOU!

Sienna {baby portraits}

This little bundle of joy came into Shanelle and Scott’s life about 6 weeks ago. Isn’t she perfect?! I was so excited to finally see her and photograph her last week, and had a wonderful time catching up with Shanelle! We’ve known each other since 3rd grade, but haven’t seen each other since graduation 5 years ago!! Geez, time flies fast. In that time she’s been married and now with their first child, the gorgeous Sienna. Oh yes, and Sawyer  the dog (the actual first child, hehe).  Thank you Scott and Shanelle for letting my capture your beautiful little girl. You 4 are adorable :)

Caroline & Abby {Seniors}

Caroline & Abby. Two absolutely gorgeous girls and two great best friends.  Abby (on the left) will be a Senior at Whitefish High School this year, and Caroline (on the right) is from New Orleans.  She lived here for awhile after Hurricane Katrina, and wanted her Senior Portraits taken in beautiful Montana with her best friend.  We had such a blast hanging out in the sun, being eatin’ alive by those stinking mosquitoes and soaking up the sunset sunshine! Thank you girls for being amazing :)

Coming Soon {update}

Oy!! How do I even start this blog? Like that?? Ok, here goes. Summer is full swing. I love it. I’ve been craving this madness for months- no, years now.  I’ve been busy, and with what I love, so I’m a happy camper.  I have so much to show you all, but editing is still in the works so until it’s all ready to go, here’s some previews of what’s coming!!

Summer in Montana is a funny thing. All June it felt like a California Winter with little blurps of what kind of felt like Summer.  I think it’s here to stay now…YAY!! My camera has been permanently glued to my hand and I have about a million pictures to go through!  This is a very random blog post. Hmmm what’s been going on in my life lately. Softball games, mosquito bites, weddings galore, sunsets, iced tea, making forts, camping, sun burn, fireworks, good music….I love Summer.

First session coming: My cousins and their family from California.   Madison (on the right) ‘was puttin’ out the vibe’…Dumb and Dumber.

2nd session: The gorgeous Caroline & Abby senior portraits.

3rd Session: The Adorable Matson Family!

On the 4th of July, my Uncle Ron and Jill decided to forget the wedding they were planning and just get-er-done! They were married in my grandparents back yard underneath our “Family Tree”. I can’t wait to show you more pictures, Jill!!

And last but not least, last night, I had the honor to photograph another photographer!! The lovely Jaimie Nelson, of Imagery. She rocks.  She also took my pictures and I’m so excited to see them!
