Um, how cute is she?! Jaimie is a fabulous photographer here in the valley and I was so freakin’  honored that she would ask ME to take her portraits! Seriously, if you’re not gonna hire me (hahaha) go to her. Actually no, just go to her.

Coming Soon {update}

Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

Oy!! How do I even start this blog? Like that?? Ok, here goes. Summer is full swing. I love it. I’ve been craving this madness for months- no, years now.  I’ve been busy, and with what I love, so I’m a happy camper.  I have so much to show you all, but editing is still in the works so until it’s all ready to go, here’s some previews of what’s coming!!

Summer in Montana is a funny thing. All June it felt like a California Winter with little blurps of what kind of felt like Summer.  I think it’s here to stay now…YAY!! My camera has been permanently glued to my hand and I have about a million pictures to go through!  This is a very random blog post. Hmmm what’s been going on in my life lately. Softball games, mosquito bites, weddings galore, sunsets, iced tea, making forts, camping, sun burn, fireworks, good music….I love Summer.

First session coming: My cousins and their family from California.   Madison (on the right) ‘was puttin’ out the vibe’…Dumb and Dumber.

2nd session: The gorgeous Caroline & Abby senior portraits.

3rd Session: The Adorable Matson Family!

On the 4th of July, my Uncle Ron and Jill decided to forget the wedding they were planning and just get-er-done! They were married in my grandparents back yard underneath our “Family Tree”. I can’t wait to show you more pictures, Jill!!

And last but not least, last night, I had the honor to photograph another photographer!! The lovely Jaimie Nelson, of Imagery. She rocks.  She also took my pictures and I’m so excited to see them!

Fulford Designs {make-up artist}

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

My wonderful friend Jeff Fulford is just about the best make-up artist around. I love him so much! We got together and did a photo shoot to showcase his work a couple nights ago. This lovely lady ^^ is named Mandy and Jeff found her shopping and just asked her to model for us, cause well, she’s GORGEOUS, duh!!  And also his adorable cousin, Shaunna in her wedding dress. Pretty ladies, pretty make-up, pretty ladies, I was a happy camper!

The goods.

Gary & Linda {50 years together}

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

50 years together. Not many people can say that these days.  Gary and Linda will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this Summer, and it was such an honor to photograph their love.  As you can see from the pictures, these two are ADORABLE and just as much in love today as they were on their wedding day. I love that.  My own grandparents also just celebrated their 50th and my parents 25th. I’m a firm believer in true love, and that love lasts.

Nicholette {model}

Monday, June 6th, 2011

Can I just begin with saying, “How flippin cute is she?!?!” I was so excited when Nicholette contacted me a couple months ago asking about a model portfolio. We had it all planned out, then it rained and life got in the way so we just put it off for a sunny day later on. Well that day finally came yesterday…then the clouds rolled on in! Oh well, that’s what we get for living in Montana!! She says she’s awkward in front of the camera, I’d beg to differ. I mean, HELLO! LOOK AT HER! She’s off to San Diego to “audition” or “try out” for some modeling agencies…they’d be fools not to sign her :)
Oh yeah, and then she was being attacked by mosquitoes the ENTIRE time and swelling up like crazy, so we shot all these in about 30 minutes…let’s just say she. rocked. it.

Last shot of the day…and probably my favorite :)

Seattle {PASS tour}

Sunday, June 5th, 2011

About a week ago, Kenz, Laura and I took a 3 day trip to Seattle.  My website software, ShowitFast is on tour revealing PASS. More on that later.  Well Seattle is about 9 hours from here, I was NOT gonna go alone! So last minute my wonderful friends came with me. I think we sang the entire way there, laughed till we weezed, got lost in downtown Seattle at rush hour (STRESSSSS), crashed at my cousin Jonathan’s, and well, had one FABULOUS time.  I was SO excited to finally meet my online friends and “coworkers” in real life.  I learned so much from Zach and Jody Gray and Promise Tangeman…who is the creative genius behind my website!! Thank you to my awesome cousin, Jonathan who let us crash at his cute new house for a couple days and his wonderful roommates who were so much fun to hang out with!  Jonners took us around Seattle ALL DAY and showed us all the cool things :)   There’s an overload of pictures here, but I can’t help it!

Promise Tangeman-Wurzell!! I LOVE HER.

Kind of a sucky picture…but I wasn’t there to take pictures, I soaking up info like a crazy person! David Jay is on the left and my friend Andrew Barlow on the right!!

I know this is a super lame picture…but if any of my family happens to see this…HOLLAAAA!! Those are Superior Satellite antennas :) Oh yeeeeaaaaa. And this is also where Jonathan works, ABC new station. Pretty. darn. cool.

Brother’s name, had to take a picture!

I don’t know why….but this is my favorite picture from the whole trip!

We were a little infatuated with the nasty “Gum Wall”

yeah, weirdest picture, EVER.

Freemont Troll! Best part of the day :)

Good morning Kenzie!!

I totally fit in Seattle with my VW…they were everywhere! Good little car, you did well Roxy. Yes I named my car.

“Oh, you wanna take a picture of me?!”

Jonner’s cute girlfriend, Amber!

yes I realize this is a GIANT blog post.  But we had a fun time and I love my camera, so lots of pictures are a natural. Thanks for sticking it out with me :)

Livingston Taylor {concert}

Friday, June 3rd, 2011

I can’t even begin to describe how much this night filled my soul.  Music is such a powerful thing.  I had the honor of photographing The Crown of the Continent Benefit Concert for 406 Woman a couple weeks ago, where Livingston Taylor was the musical guest!!  If that last name sound familiar, it should…James Taylor is his brother. But I hate to describe Liv as the brother of James Taylor, this guy is absolutely amazing, inspiring, charming, hilarious, and easy going.  The gala was held at the beautiful Red Willow Lodge in Bigfork, MT.  It was a private party so there were a limited amount of guests keeping it very intimate.  We spent the first hour or so just mingling and eating delicious food. Then on to the concert which was held in the conservatory…at sunset. This was one happy girl. You couldn’t ask for a better lighting situation :)   Here are just SOME of the billions of pictures I took.  I obviously like detail pictures, I seem to go overboard on those! Keep an eye out for the article in the magazine that will feature more!

He saw me taking pictures, so decided to pose for me!

Big Sky Rents and Events

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

Wow. Three blog posts in two days…and two in ONE DAY! I’m on a roll. YAY ME! Big Sky Rents and Events is also located in Bigfork. Chuck and Becky are SO SWEET.  Let’s just say I can’t wait for the day I get married so I can rent their beautiful linens and china and chairs and silverware and ahhhhh, be still my heart. These pictures are for their 406 Woman ad and I can’t wait to see all these published! :) I also can’t wait to work with Becky at an actual wedding and see the amazingness she comes up with!!

Thank you, Becky for the wonderful time and letting me go crazy in your showroom! :)

Uh, by the way, take a look at that linen. UGHHHH! So pretty.

Nancy O’s

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

Oh Nancy. The second I met her, I liked her. I think the best way to describe her is sassy. I instantly fell at home in her extremely charming store, Nancy O’s in Bigfork. Seriously, check out the store. Go spend a day in Bigfork and fall in love. I would move there in a heartbeat if I could! And for all those brides out there, Nancy O’s has wedding registry!! Oh cool is that?! Very cool. I just answered my own question. On to the pictures.

While I’m on the subject of Bigfork, these images are from Pocket Stone Cafe. YUM-MO. I got to eat this delish food when I was done photographing it. I like my job.
